*CLASSROOM SPOTLIGHT* Mr. Savalle's English Class
Students were engaged in a thoughtful lesson that
combined technology, reading, and discussion to
strengthen comprehension skills. Using their
Chromebooks and a handout for the bell ringer,
students began with a quick activity before moving
into the main lesson. Mr. Savalle opened with a
personal story to connect to the reading, then
introduced “Old Guys and Newspaper.” Through a
read-discuss-read-discuss format, students actively
listened, shared ideas, and connected meaning to the
text. Afterward, they completed a related activity, all
within a familiar routine that reinforces consistent
goals for learning and engagement.
